Abstract Submission

Where do I submit my abstract?

The Nordyrk conference 2024 uses the conference manager app, Oxford abstracts, for handling absracts. Abstracts can only be submitted through this submission form.

What language will the conference be in?

Papers and presentations could be in English, Danish, Norwegian or Swedish. Each session will include presentations either in English or in Nordic languages, i.e., English, and Nordic languages are not mixed in the same session.

What is the deadline for submission of abstracts?

Abstract submission deadline is 31. January 2024

What happens after I submit my abstract?

Reviewers will review the abstract and after the reviewing progress you will be informed if the abstract has been accepted or rejected.

Organized symposium- how do I submit all the abstracts?

Symposium organizers are responsible for submitting each abstract individually in the submission form. You will need to write the symposium title in the "symposium title" box so the organizing committee can group them together.

Is it possible to stipulate which day I would prefer to present on?

We ask all authors to be available for presentation at any time during the conference, including both the first and last sessions. However should you have an unavoidable time constraint, we can try to take this into consideration when allocating time slots. This is only possible in the first phase of programme planning, so please inform us as soon as possible. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate all requests.

Will it be possible to change my abstract if it is accepted?

You might be asked by the Scientific Committee to make some minor changes to your abstract (such as spelling mistakes). Otherwise, it will not usually be possible to change your abstract once it has been submitted.

If my abstract is not accepted can I still attend the conference?

Yes – we would still be glad for you to attend the conference even though you will not be presenting your own work.

Will the conference be broadcasted on video and/or will here be a replay?

There will not be broadcasts nor replays.

Conference Registration

When does the conference program start and when does it finish?

The opening of the conference is at 10:45 on Monday the 3rd of June and will end on Wednesday 5th at 12:15.

As a presenter at the conference, do I need to register as a participant and pay the registration fee?

Yes – in order to attend the conference and present your work you must register before the 17th of April 2024.

Is it possible to register for only one or two days of the conference?

No – we are unable to provide this option.

What payment options do you offer?

A card payment through the registration site that will be advertised soon.

When is the latest I will be able to register to attend the conference?

Registration will close the 6th of May 2024.

What does my conference fee include?

The conference ticket includes entry to all the scientific sessions of the conference including keynote plenaries and parallel sessions. The registration fee includes lunch and coffee breaks on all conference days. It also includes the welcome reception 3rd of June and the Conference dinner on the 4th of June. Note: The welcome reception and conference dinner is not included in the One day ticket.

Where can I access an invoice for the payment of the conference ticket?

For Presenters

How long is each parallel session

Each parallel session is 90 minutes.

Can I ask for my presentation to be in a different parallel session?

The programme planners aim to group submissions with similar topics into a session. Please note that requests of authors to move their presentation to a different session which they would find more suitable cannot be considered.

How many abstracts can be in a symposium?

There can be three papers in each symposium.

Will NORDYRK publish conference proceedings?

NORDYRK does not publish conference proceedings but a book of abstracts will be available.

How can I present my presentation?

We ask you to bring your presentation on a USB chip if you are using slides and send it to you on an email to be safe to have it with you just in case the USB chip gets lost.
